HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 ALREADY. out with the old tooth at 10am in with the new flat screen tv at 2pm. got my tooth pulled today so i am on a cool soft diet, that cheese cake in the freezer shall do nicely along with pudding, fruit cocktail, let the party begin. ha ha. i am in no pain though. i have been thinking of a flat screen cuase it is all the buzz anymore and i have used my dvd very few times for 2 years cuase i had to unplug it and plug it in every time i wanted to use the tv or dvd no hook up. i was going to get it as an award for credit card being paid off, but then it would put a big bill on it again, so nora stopped by the other day and said i need a flat screen. the desire excellerated. so i took her with me today and i have been watching tv since. she was able to hook up my dvd so i dont have to mess i just point and click. the rose bowl parade should look great. i dare anyone to have an accident and take out the power during the parade, i am glued the whole three hours. you should all watch it if you dont, amazing the creativity and time put into the all natural products. hgtv has a non commercial program. you all have fun tonight but be safe. and be responsible. the picture of the tv has jimmys wedding dvd playing. i have that one and the coast gaurd graduation. hope that announcement doesnt make me take them back. mom has seen both. may god bless you all.

i am working at putting a picture of kim in 1974 or when ever her senior year was. she as a red striped long pajamas on just like her 1 year old grandaughter. looking good kim hope it will work soon. i think i have to register it with the new computer. deer do not have any place to go lately cuase of tons of houses and town houses going up. i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the 3 grown deer in my parking lot at work. no i am not kidding. i have never seen a parking lot with deer. people need to stop building let the deer live a normal life. happpy new years . will try to get pictures up tommorro. katie

i dont think i took any pictures today, but santa was a very very good santa this year. i opened gifts, then went home and to the cemetary, then back to moms and sermans came and patty, we had more gifts to open, and then macklins came and had more gifts. then i had to work 3 to 7 and went to noras for a while, came home and got my first scrapbook ever i made and showed katie what kind of husband she really has every one was laughing real hard at some of the pictures when they were very small and young. well the hot garden tub is calling me. hope all is well with you, i am hitting the sales tommorro. katie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH and to prove how much i love you i went to get a HUGE bargin. ha ha. this is my christmas bargin. i had a struggle but ended up getting an artificial tree, sorry dad, but nora and mom have artificial trees and our trees are too big or got hit with drought no fear dad patty found a real tree. any way, i got this at 60 % off. from 449.99 to 179.99 it has snow and berrys and pineocones already in place and that is what i fill my holes with with real trees anyway. still sad the tradition is gone but i am not the only one.

barneys first snow. we had 2 to 3 inches pure snow this time no sleet as it usually does. ruins it every time. she is not liking it too much as you see she does have a bed and a blanket but i cant stand to see her cold like that. i will try to keep her in tonight. dont know. will have beutiful tree pictures tommorro or today since it is around one am.

boy this is my 41st time blogging, got the hang of it now. you'll be tired of me. nora wanted me to go on a diet with her. we weighed in at grandmas. for some reason that is the only scale we can use. i will spare you the weights. however, i have lost 10 pounds already with the soup salad five nights a week at work with occasional desert no vending machines at work and at least a 2 mile hike in the hallways at work. my pants have been slipping down for almost two weeks now. guess i was loosing weight. but the official diet starts today. may the will power be with us both. anyone else want to join in? well it is after one am so i am going to hit the bed. love you all 12 2 07.

Don't know how many people remember how much it cost to change a light bulb a few months back, 150.oo when you call the electric company. well i called the same one again yesterday cuase i knew my heater was louder and sounded like it was grinding, no one said they thought anything was strange or grinding. well i was feeling very sick and dizzy yesterday and i didn't hear it blowing in the room i was in. very weak blowing. so i took smokey pattys to stay the night and went to get a carbon monoxide reader. it has been at zero so i then new it was just me not feeling well. they came out today and he said it sounded like it was grinding also. he took the cover off outside and there were 2 LEAVES being pulled against the motor. 88dollars to take 2 leaves out. that company is going to love me calling them cuase it is always for nothing. the light bulb if you dont know is after an electrical storm my fuse tripped and i couldn't get it on and klye couldn;'t get it on so i called them and after a while they changed the lightbulb and the fuse tripped back on. this was a new technology they year my house was built it is a saftey device. i will put the leaves on my surprising home owner experience. love you all take care 11-29-07

before i start, i just heard on the view (tv show) that a cell phone went off in court, and the judge got mad asked whos it was and no one admitted it, he then said bring that phone to me or you will be thrown in jail, still no answer so the entire court room was put in jail, and the judge got fired. bad day at work i would say. SHUT OFF YOUR CELL PHONES BEFORE GOING TO COURT. HA HA. 11 28 07

ok, this is a short note cuase i wrote long and sent several pictures and its all out in cyberspace somewhere. we had a great day today, i have spent a lot of time with kim some with melissa and jp but they were off doing there thing when i was working or spending time with kim. all is well, we went to mexican resturant i will get those pictures when i get my camara back. i left it with kim tonight while i am in bed to get pictures when i am not around. i would not have these pictures of thanksgiving if not for leaving my camara behind. love you all.

well, thanksgiving is over and now time for christmas. we bought mom a artificial christmas tree today, it is too much for her to get down and water it and mess with the lights ext. this is a pre lighted . she was mad when we walked through the door with it but quickly showed how much she loved it and not having to mess with anything. i had to work yesterday and today but tommorro, i will be able to go out to dinner with everyone will take some more pictures. i left the camara with nora yesterday so i was able to get these pictures. black friday started at midnight here in lewis. i was coming home around then and there was at least 1 mile back up and quadruple amount of traffic on another quiet road. they opened all the outlets at 12 but it didn't slow me down any. it was all on the other side of the road. crazy people. hope you all enjoyed your thanksgiving. stay healthy or get healthy. katie 11 23 07

another day of things to do painting to do didnt' do much yet but i did go to moms, what fun we had. nora was there, patty was not home so it was me nora and mom. i got bored mom and nora were talking a way. so i asked mom if i could get a photo album out. i just pulled a album and it turned out to be another scrapbook like last weekend. boy did we get laughing at the pictures in the paper, and stories. for example mom said her neighbors had the ugliest kid (her words) that would come over when BARBIE was out side in the back yard with her DOllies on a blanket and mike was running around and the little kid would come up behind barbs back when she was busy playing dolls and PEE on her back and run off luaghing. poor barbie. then we came across a letter mom wrote when she was `11 years old to her sister helen. boy we were practiacally rolling out of our chairs in laughter. then there was an artical from the highland hospital that had kim on the hospital bed 8 years old with mom and a picture of dad on the phone . the 2 had back to back surgerys the hospital let kim go to dads room when mom went home to be with us. then dad went up to her room after she had surgery / kim thought that was so special. we were thought highly of apparently. they said well wishes to the bell family the last three bells were born here. then another artical with dad holding me up to get on a stage coach i dont;' remember that at all. so thats what we do here in delaware on a weekend, reminice and have a great time talking with mom for 2 or 3 hours. i may start doing that with her every weekend to bring back memories. there was also a flower card that said looking forward to 20 more great years together. more like 35 years.(from dad of course) what love we all have for each other.

AHH A beutiful day in the bell compound, windy, wet, cold. however god and dad are shining down on the fall colors. this is the nursing bag barb made me for my 45th birthday, it was pretty late but WELL worth it. i took it to work both the old job and the new job and EVERYONE wants her to make them one. one girl at the old job said if it comes up missing one day she had it. the same with the cat sweater she made me a few years back. just cant talk you into it can i barb. ha ha. you would be able to support your quilting trips. all is fine in delaware. heather i dont know how to get the dates yet so today is november 15th.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME. unbelievably i have owned my own home for 5 years as of today. only 25 more years to go.this is the only picture i had on my computer, the printer isnt' scaning so 5 years minus one oak tree. i have worked for a week now at my new job. i work from 1/2 hour to maybe 2 hours the other day then sit around for the rest. no patients until the 12th or after. i took pictures of my unit the dementia unit. not sure if i was allowed. will ask and then put them on the site. my area has only 15 patients compared to 25 in my last job. INSIDE the unit is a front porch which is complete with 2 rocking chairs, railing, porch ceiling porch light and siding of a house. looks just like a true porch inside. you walk through the door into the kitchen, to the right is a familyroom, to the left is a dining room. then in the hallway on the other sides are private rooms. carpeted and 2 suites, with a whole wall seperating 2 beds not a curtain. outside the kitchen they can go out with us and walk the memory garden. this whole facility is fancy, i feel like i am in a fancy hotel. i walked ONe section of the independt living apartments and walked and walked and walked. then did the other side later. tonight i will walk the upstairs. the assisted living has 30 residents and the skilled has 40 skilled rooms are all private carpeted rooms. i asked the security how many people when full he said close to 280 . been nice to work for 8 hrs and get paid and not take care of patients. just had a dr appointment , mri showed cysts on both overies and a very thick uterus. put me on birthcontrol cuase i have no insurance, if that doesnt help in 3 months i will need a biopsy. so i will let you know somewhere in feburary.

nora sent me this picture. in my duds, i started work today, no patients, YES sat around for the bosses to come in and have there meeting, then she told us 3 nurses to open the boxes on upper floor and tear down the other boxes. that took 45 minutes, the rest of the time we talked, read policys, hopefully have patients next week, but will be slow at first i am sure. halloween i was told they were doing a theme halloween, and we will all be cowboys or girls, guess i am going shopping tommorro after work. tommorro we will ha ve staff appreciation lunch. hope to get pictures wed . katie

I GO FOR THE AFTERNOON AND LEAVE AFTER PASSING CANDY OUT. I FORGOT MY CAMARA BUT KYLE WAS THE BEST. HE HAD ROTTEN TEETH IN HIS MOUTH, GOLD GLASSESS AND A GOLD DOLLAR SIGN NECKLACE. I FELL OUT LAUGHING EVERYTIME I LOOKED AT HIM HE LOOKED SOOOO FUNNY. NORA WAS A DEAD MOUSE WITH CHEESE ON HER HEAD AND THEY WRAPPED HER IN SPIDER WEBS SHE ASKED THE KIDS WHERE HER CHEESE WAS I AM SO HUNGRY I COULD DIE SHE SAYS. I JUST PUT WILD SOCKS ON WITH STRIPED PANTS, AND A SHIRT SAYING OFFICIAL CANDY TASTER, AND A PUMPKIN HEAD PEICE. PATTY DID NOT DRESS UP. THINK SHE HAD A HEAD PEICE ON FOR A WHILE. IT RAINED FOR 4 DAYS BUT STOPPED AROUND NOON AND SUN CAME OUT. THE WHOLE CAMP GROUND AROUND US CHEERED. TEMP IN THE SEVENTYS. I DID NOT FEEL LIKE TURNING AROUND 10 MINUTES TO GET MY CAMARA I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO PUTTING IT ON MY WEBSITE. BUT I DO HAVE ONE PICTURE FOR HOLLOWEEN. MY 1 MONTH OLD NEICE

hi guys i am back, couldn't get on yesterday again. i started painting my bathroom, savanaha mist. thought was darker but still not darkening. i got laughing so hard cuase it is the exact color as my nephew wades girls prom dress. i think it will be pretty though. i got so many roses in there on towels ect. i think it will look great had lunch with my past co workers today lot of laughs havent seen most of them in 3 years. brought a lot of sunshine to a very nasty day wind and rain. missed one person there today but will do it again. gotta get up early tommoro for orientation at my new job. a brand new assisted living place only independent people living there now. quaker run facility so hopefully i will get the respect of aides i deserve. see you later katie

god bless the steur family, now experiencing what the bell family experienced last year . dear dear uncle walt passed away after being sick for a while in New York. many great memories and will be sorely missed. but he is having coffee and dad is having a manhattten right about now together along with other family members having a grand ol time. god bless you aunt betty and thank god for your neighbors taking care of you . be strong. one of my favorite memories is going to a family occasion i think it was the family reunion and we were unpacking, we took a short cut and passed uncle walt our luggage through our window on the first floor of the hotel. then he passed me his cowboy hat and i wore it. i looked great if i do say so myself. and i dont' remember this but aunt betty told me this year that i wasnt talking much very few words, and i went to town with uncle walt he said to me bump bump bump when we went over a bump and apparently i repeated it. that was the most prescious sounds he had ever heard me say aunt betty said. i will try to post a picture. soon. love to all steurs. katie

i went to the yearly apple scrapple festival, rides available, petting zoo, CRAFTS, CRAFTS, CRAFTS, in the streets then the school has CRAFTS, CRAFTS, CRAFTS. lots to look at and by then home to rest your reary bones. apple scrapple has scrapple to eat, apple donuts, scrapple carvings, yes i said carving and tossing of scrapple. beutiful weather sunny and low 70's. i forgot to mention the crowd. several times we lost each other. WHERES TERRI, there she is with the curly hair. most of the time we were very close but looking everywhere and missing each other.

this is the picture i wanted seaqulls in flight. the pictures come in thumbnail and i am not sure how to blow it up. i will learn the waves were big for the state park and i took the dolphins pictures behind the crashing wave but that looks neat just for the breaking wave. if you look close the dolphin is near the top of the picture.

ok guys i will stop for now. happy birthday to all the people since may, it bothered me i could not tribute you guys, even me. i will start now. my birthday was very special to me. i turned 45 not that was special, but i told mom i wanted something from dad since it was my first year without him, and she thought and thought, what should i give her since he was a man. the first thing i opened was a card with a picture of me and him dancing in 1975 at my cousin nancy janes wedding. i was 13 and he was 46. that was all i needed. but i opened my little bag and pulled out dads baby cup from 1928. i was on cloud nine. hope you injoy the posts. love you all katie

guess what i did this summer, i rode on the elephant at the fair, i have alway wanted to do it. and there were other adults there riding. of course i was on the hip and i went WAY down and WAY up as the elephant walked. they fill up the elephant for each ride so i had no i dea who these girls were BOY TALK ABOUT your hip cramping up. next time i am going on the camel. poor camel never gets too many rides. stay tuned next august.

as you all know i go to curves this summer we had a 6 week camp they decorated to the hilt as they always do , one of the activities was to write a song. i said no way can i right a song. well i am pretty amazed and proud here is my song in tune to amazing grace. AHEM amazing curves how sweet the sound, that saved a GIRL like me. i once was FLAB but now i am FIT was blind to CARBS but now i see. Twas grace of CURVES THAT TAUGHT ME SELF LOVE, and grace my mind relieved. how precious did that grace appear, that HOUR I FIRST CAME IN. the lord has promised good to me the STAFF THEY DO SO WELL, THEY WILL SHIELD MY P O R T I O NS AS LONG AS I AGREE. through many DO'S AND DON'TS AND FALLS I have already endured, tis grace of CURVES THAT BROUGHT ME FUN THUS FAR AND GRACE WILL LEAVE ME THIN. when ive been there ten thousand moreTIMES, bright and shining as the sun, weve no less days to sing CURVES praise then when we first begun.
