well, we should have had a bright rainbow but a faded one is better. i was raining real hard and sun peeked through the clouds. since barb got here we have had intermittent rain , hard at times but very gentle no wind no lightning. the kind you dont mind walking in. having a great time as usual with barb and duane. have a good day look hard at the second picture you can see it is trying to get to a double rain bow look above the tree to the right.

I WAS WAITING FOR NORA TO COME AND SAT IN THE CHAIR LOOKING AT DADS PICTURE AND THE DOGS PICTURES. I LOOKED DOWN AND SAW THE SHOES THAT DUANE WORE ALL DAY (DADS SHOES) I JUST STUCK MY FEET IN THERE AND IT FELT GOOD. hi, going to do this fast incase the lights go out. barb may stay overnight somewhere stay safe barb. lights are out at the hotel as of 430pm that was ,my sign to quit. on the way to the car i was pushed by the wind trying to walk so i wouldnt fall like i did in the spring but had no choice in the matter and it was downpouring. so i quickly grabbed my pocketbook from trunk and got in car to get my camara ready, no walking was going to happen i pulled to the end of the street and got out at took these pictures i was nervous to go to the boardwalk but i was pretty close to it. there is no beach seen all the really big waves are coming to dunes and they are breaking way out. when i got to the intersection they were directing traffic. dont know what happened but probably discribes the lights that went out. there were 6 cop cars looking toward the ave and more came after. thecable is trying to go out gotta go my internet is with the cable company. happy first birthday katyln and sophia. hope you have a sunny day.

hi, the wind was coming off the coast today and i got to watch this all day. making excuses to to the spa on the roof to get towels ect. for those of you who do not know i have been taking a leave from nursing for a while . i just need a break. well i started working here 1 week ago, monday through friday day time. this is a beutiful victorian hotel, i wanted more hours so i volenteered to stay and clean all the little tiny wholes in the victorine furniture of the hallways that two hours went fast but i am enjoying the change. anyway. every floor you have view of the beach the waves were amazing. this hotel has a floor that can only be accessed by key and a spa all to there selves. these are where judges, drs, lawyers and other rich people enjoy a very expensive and private room. queen latifa stayed there last year. have a great weekend.

god bless the people involved in 9 11, i remeber that day well, i had gone to the beach on my day off and had to drop something off to a neighbor, on the way i heard of a plane crashing but wasnt paying attention. i got to the beach and everything was gorgeous temps in the 70's, waves huge due to a hurricane in the atlantic but nothing near us. bright blue sky. when i was coming back, i noticed very little traffic, i was amazed how empty the outlets were (stores) i thought i would stop in to see if i could talk to patty when she was working at disney outlet, no one there either, i took out my tape and started listening to the radio, the whole state was shutting down that could shut down. everyone was incouraged to be with there family schools were let out. i got home to noras and the news was on. i couldnt believe the second jet they were showing how it obviously had a mission. well today the weather is the same. waves are heavy, and white capping out in the ocean. temps in the seventys, and blue sky. this is rough for delaware. have a great day. katie

wake up call for Delaware folks no need for alarm clocks. the state decides to crop dust at 8am this morning the first picture the plane is coming out of the trees. guess i am up for the day. if out of state people have not seen these it is amazing to see them dip way down and then at the LAST second pull up to avoid houses and power lines. amazing even after 30 years i still love to watch them very loud though. katie

hanna was such a nice tropical storm, the bottom picture was taken during the storm, heavy rain but you couldnt tell on this picture or see the wind. the top picture multiply by four and that is what i have to pick up plus a few branches. the wind and rain stopped just in time for the out side wedding yesterday that jake was in. felt sorry for them but after the ceramo( here anyway )about 730 pm the winds kicked up again. good luck to lance and his wife. here is my sky to the right. the contrast was amazing, so funny how little things like that are amazing to look at here is smokey enjoying the calm before the storm. taking refuge from the sun and humidity yesterday. currently gusts are 34 mph. supposed to gust to 60 later. here i come for dinner nora. be safe katie so far i just have a few limbs down no interesting pictures. maybe tommorro.

i was trying to get the bee clear but you can still see it. in the bottom middle under the flowers on the top. with this camara i ne ver no what i am shooting if the sun is out. it does not have a view finder. so alot of the prize winning photos are taken blindly. including this one.

well i have great cloud pictures today, HOWEVER, i took flower pictures earlier and left the card in my machine. hopefully nora will be able to help get the pictures off the camara. we are getting ready for tropical storm hanna. we have a warning out now it was a watch. i will try to stay and clean but probably most likely end up at 3 family members through out the day. hate high winds . i am usually working and offering to spend the night shift so i dont have to listen to the wind at night. forcast 2 to 7 inches of rain. a friend of jakes is getting married tommorro. he was always present in elementry. good luck to them and the guests as they make their way to felton. well will put my camara card in the camara now so i can take pictures tommorro. the clouds were buetiful at the beach but lasted less then 1/2 hour you could see the tropical storm coming up on the right side of me and pretty white clouds on the right.take care katie
